Objective To analyze the related factors that affect the satisfaction of wearing hearing aids in elderly patients with hearing impairment. Methods 100 elderly hearing-impaired patients with hearing aids in our hospital from august 2017 to september 2020

participated in this study and the Daily Life Hearing Aid Satisfaction Scale（SADL） was used to evaluate the hearing aid satisfaction of the patients. Groups were divided according to age

gender

education background

etc.

and multi-factor correlation analysis was conducted after the completion of single-factor analysis. Results In terms of the positive effect scores in SADL

those with hearing loss <61 dB with binaural amplification

high school education and above

daily wearing time ≥8 h

and without cognitive impairment were significantly higher than those with hearing loss ≥61 dB with single hearing aids wear

and below high school education background

daily wearing ≥8 h

mild cognitive impairment

behind-the-ear type（P<0.05）; In terms of service price score

those with monthly income ≥5000 yuan and high school education or above were significantly higher than those with monthly income <5000 yuan

and below high school education background（P<0.05）; In terms of negative effect scores

those with mild cognitive dysfunction

wearing time ≥1 year were significantly higher than those without mild cognitive dysfunction

wearing time <1 year（P<0.05）; In terms of self-image and appearance scores

those with a high school education or less

wearing time <1 year were significantly higher than those with a high school education and above

and wearing time ≥1 year（P<0.05）; In terms of the total average score

those with hearing loss less than 61 dB

without cognitive dysfunction were significantly higher than those with hearing loss ≥61 dB and those with cognitive dysfunction（P<0.05）. Conclusion There are many factors affecting the satisfaction of wearing hearing aids in elderly patients with hearing impairment

including academic qualifications

monthly income

and whether they have cognitive dysfunction

etc. Corresponding interventions are needed for these patients to improve hearing aid satisfaction.
