Objective To understand the real feelings and supportive service practice of caregivers of hearing-impaired children in the care process
and to formulate corresponding intervention countermeasures. Methods Based on the theory of human development ecosystem
21 primary caregivers of hearing-impaired children were selected as the research objects. Semi-structured interviews were conducted
and Colaizzi’s phenomenological data analysis method was used for analysis. Results Four themes were extracted: the microsystem was the caregiver’s physical and mental exhaustion; the medium system is the lack of connection between families
institutions and schools; and the external system is the social environment to be improved; the macro system for policy support is weak. Conclusions The ecological environment system of caregivers of hearing-impaired children needs to be gradually improved.Rehabilitators should pay attention to the systematic factors affecting the physical and mental health of caregivers
and provide targeted systematic services
which can effectively reduce the care burden of caregivers of hearing-impaired children and improve their care quality.
