摘要:Behavioral intervention is a scientifically validated and highly effective approach for autism spectrum disorder (ASD). It has evolved from high-structured teaching paradigms to naturalistic teaching strategies. High-structured strategies, represented by Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention (EIBI),Discrete Trial Training (DTT), and Verbal Behavior Intervention, emphasize adult-led instruction, high-density training, and structured procedural frameworks. In contrast, naturalistic strategies, exemplified by the current Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Interventions (NDBIs) such as Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT) and the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), prioritize child-led interactions, naturalistic contexts, and motivation enhancement. This paper systematically reviews the trajectory of this paradigm shift, explores the advantages of various behavioral intervention techniques within the behavioral framework, and aims to assist educators and practitioners in establishing appropriate intervention goals, selecting suitable models and techniques based on children's developmental foundations. The ultimate objective is to enhance intervention efficacy, promote the development of children with ASD, and facilitate their social integration across diverse settings.

摘要:Currently the traditional hearing service model is rapidly transforming and upgrading toward digitalization, intelligence, and personalization. Emerging business formats such as distance fitting, smart hearing assistance devices, and big data health management are developing rapidly, imposing unprecedented high standards and new requirements on the knowledge structure, technical proficiency, and innovation capabilities of hearing health professionals. Audiology is a highly practical discipline, and its talent cultivation must closely align with the industrial and innovation chains. Against the current social context and disciplinary development needs, the existing talent training system still faces several profound challenges and bottlenecks. Therefore, this study adheres to the outcome-oriented education philosophy. Based on a provincial-level key-supported Smart Digital Hearing Health Industry College, it innovates the "Aid Hearing, Rehabilitation, Research and Development" full-chain talent training model through reforms in curriculum restructuring, practical teaching innovation, deepened school-enterprise collaboration, and long-term system optimization. These efforts aim to cultivate high-quality, interdisciplinary talents capable of meeting the future development needs of the hearing health industry, providing solid talent support and intellectual guarantees for the high-quality advancement of China's hearing health sector.

摘要:ObjectiveThis study investigated the effect of reschool PEERS program for children with autism on social functions of the children and the mental state of the main caregivers.MethodSeven families of children with autism were selected and received 16 weeks of training, the study was conducted once a week. The social abilities of children were assessed by SCQ, SRS-2, SSRS. The psychological status of primary caregivers was evaluated using SDS, SAS, and PSI-SF.ResultsBefore and after the study. The scores of the SCQ scale (P=0.024) and the SRS scale (P=0.002) showed significant differences. The social cognition (t=3.930, P=0.008), social communication (t=6.870, P<0.001) in the SRS scale, and the SCI (t=7.170, P<0.001) in the SRS scale all had significant differences. The total scores of the SAS scale (t=4.300, P=0.005) and the SDS scale (t=3.310, P=0.016) showed significant differences, and there were significant differences in the parental distress (t=2.710, P=0.035).ConclusionThe preliminary results of this study show that the social skills of the children enrolled in the study significantly improved before and after the intervention, with an increase in their attention and response to social cues. However, the improvement in repetitive behaviors was not obvious. The psychological conditions of the main caregivers were significantly improved, and the score of parental distress significantly decreased. The results indicated that the PEERS program has the potential to effectively improve the core social impairments of the children with autism.

摘要:ObjectiveTo explore and analyze the developmental characteristics and underlying mechanisms of self-awareness in children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and to provide a theoretical basis for rehabilitation interventions.MethodsBased on the three dimensions of self-awareness (physical self, social self, psychological self), this paper described the early developmental trajectory of self-awareness in typically developing children and the developmental deviations in children with ASD. The developmental characteristics and mechanisms of self-awareness in ASD were analyzed from the perspectives of neural mechanisms, cognitive processing, and social interaction, and corresponding intervention strategies were proposed.ResultsChildren with ASD showed significant developmental delays across all three dimensions. In the physical self dimension, they exhibited blurred body representation and sensory integration deficits, with mechanisms related to abnormalities in sensorimotor circuits, among others. In the social self dimension, they demonstrated theory of mind deficits, difficulties in role positioning, and lack of group belonging, with female children tending to adopt more social compensation strategies; the mechanisms were associated with abnormalities in social brain network connectivity, among others. In the psychological self dimension, they showed deficits in interoception and metacognition, as well as low self-esteem, with mechanisms related to default mode network dysfunction, among others. The three dimensions were interrelated and influenced each other. Based on the above characteristics and mechanisms, intervention strategies including cognitive construction, body perception, mind-body integration, social interaction, and ecological support were proposed.ConclusionThe development of self-awareness in children with ASD involves multi-dimensional and multi-system synergistic impairments. Coordinated interventions targeting the physical, social, and psychological dimensions can effectively promote the overall functional development of these children.

摘要:ObjectiveTo explore effective intervention models for group activities for children with autism under the background of medical-educational integration, construct a scientific and operable system of group teaching activities for children with autism, promote the development of children's comprehensive abilities, and provide reference for special education practice.MethodThis study selected 10 autistic children aged 4-6 (with an average age of 5 and a half years) as research subjects, adopting a tripartite collaboration model involving doctors, special education teachers, and rehabilitation therapists. The intervention program was guided by the "Shanghai Curriculum Guide for Preschool Special Education", constructing a dual-track curriculum system combining developmental and functional courses. A half-day collective teaching intervention was implemented for a period of one year, with five half-days per week, combined with comprehensive strategies such as environmental support, embedded teaching, layered teaching, and positive behavior support. The intervention was promoted through multidisciplinary team collaboration.ResultsAfter one year of curriculum implementation, 10 children showed significant improvements in dimensions such as cognition, language comprehension, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, imitation, communication, and physical fitness (P<0.01). A parent satisfaction survey conducted during the same period revealed that all parents (10/10) expressed very satisfaction with the teachers' work and curriculum arrangements, and generally reported that their children had made significant progress in language comprehension, rule awareness, social interaction, and self-care. This indicates that the intervention has a positive effect on children's multi-domain development and is highly recognized by parents.ConclusionThe collective teaching model for children with autism based on the integration of medical education can effectively promote the comprehensive ability development of children with autism by establishing a medical-educational collaboration mechanism, designing a scientific curriculum system, and comprehensively applying teaching strategies. This model combines scientific rigor with practicality, providing valuable references and implementation paths for related educational practices.

摘要:Children with hearing impairments often experience articulation disorders and incorrect phonation due to the lack of auditory feedback. Mandarin Chinese pronunciation primarily consists of vowels and consonants, with consonants playing a more significant role in speech intelligibility and clarity. Stopped consonants, being relatively early in the phonological acquisition sequence, involve complete closure at the articulatory site, sustained occlusion, and sudden release, creating a burst-like perceptual effect. Mandarin stopped consonants include /b/, /p/, /d/, /t/, /g/, and /k/, with four main types of articulation errors: substitution, distortion, omission, and addition. Abnormal articulation of stopped consonants leads to reduced speech clarity in hearing-impaired children, thereby affecting their daily communication. Therefore, mastering correct stopped consonant pronunciation is crucial. Based on this, the article reviews research progress on the articulation characteristics of stopped consonants, VOT influencing factors, auditory recognition, and comparisons with hearing children, clarifying the current state of stopped consonant research in China and providing insights for rehabilitation in hearing-impaired children.

摘要:The preschool years represent a critical period for the development of audiovisual emotion integration, and children with hearing impairment exhibit deficits in this ability, which may negatively affect their social interaction and mental health. This article provides a systematic review of research progress on audiovisual emotion integration in preschool children with hearing impairment. First, it discusses the theoretical and neural underpinnings of this deficit, including atypical weight allocation under the maximum likelihood estimation model, as well as functional and connectivity abnormalities in the amygdala, insular cortex, and prefrontal-parietal networks. Second, it summarizes the current state of research: significant difficulties in vocal emotion perception; divergent findings regarding facial emotion perception, including deficits, enhancement, or no difference; and, in audiovisual emotion integration, a compensatory effect under congruent conditions and an integration conflict under incongruent conditions. Furthermore, key influencing factors are analyzed, including type of hearing device, noise type, emotion type, and individual developmental factors. Finally, the article identifies limitations of existing studies and suggests directions for future research, aiming to serve as a reference for further development in this field.

摘要:Hearing devices such as cochlear implants and hearing aids have enabled an increasing number of children with hearing loss to obtain stable auditory input, thereby laying the foundation for auditory-verbal rehabilitation. However, due to factors such as signal coding strategies, residual acoustic hearing, age at implantation and device fitting, rehabilitation experience, and family support, some children still exhibit deficits in fine-grained auditory processing, including pitch, timbre, rhythm, and affective prosody. These deficits may manifest as limited abilities in pitch discrimination, lexical tone perception, speech perception, singing, and emotional understanding. This is particularly important for Mandarin-speaking children, as Mandarin Chinese relies on lexical tone contrasts to distinguish word meanings; consequently, their communication and social adjustment may be persistently affected. Music involves multiple attributes, including rhythm, melody, pitch, dynamics, emotion, and interaction. Through auditory-motor coupling, rhythmic synchronization, multisensory feedback, and emotional regulation, music may activate neural networks related to language processing, thereby promoting auditory perception, speech rhythm, lexical tone processing, expressive communication, and socio-emotional development. In recent years, approaches such as Orff Schulwerk, Dalcroze Eurhythmics, Kodály-based singing games, visualized music training, pitch/note discrimination training, and melodic contour identification training have gradually been applied in the rehabilitation of children with hearing loss. Existing studies suggest that regular and sustained music-based activities tailored to children's age-related characteristics and auditory ability levels may, to some extent, improve their auditory and speech-language abilities, musical perception, emotional behavior, and social interaction. This paper provides a comprehensive review of music therapy and music-based interventions, covering their definitions, physiological foundations, major intervention forms, and existing challenges. It focuses on the application characteristics and therapeutic directions of various music interventions in the rehabilitation of children with hearing loss. Furthermore, by integrating the linguistic features of Mandarin Chinese, this paper examines the potential value of music training for lexical tone perception and speech comprehension, with the aim of providing a reference for the design of auditory-verbal rehabilitation programs, the evaluation of intervention efficacy, and future research involving Mandarin-speaking children with hearing loss.

摘要:ObjectiveTo explore the influence of gender, age and duration of speech training on the voice onset time (VOT) of stop consonants in preschool children with hearing impairment, and to provide a basis for their Speech rehabilitation.MethodsTwenty preschool children with normal hearing and twenty children with hearing impairment were selected. Six syllables composed of the stop consonants /b, p, d, t, g, k/ and the vowel /a/ in Mandarin, namely /ba/, /pa/, /da/, /ta/, /ga/, /ka/, with the first tone, were recorded. The VOT values were extracted using Praat speech analysis software. A three-factor analysis of variance was conducted, with VOT values as the dependent variable and gender, age and duration of speech training as the independent variables.ResultsThe VOT values of unaspirated stop consonants in children with hearing impairment were generally shorter than those in children with normal hearing, while the VOT values of aspirated stop consonants were generally longer. There were no statistically significant differences in the VOT values of /pa/, /da/, /ta/, /ga/, /ka/ among different genders, ages and durations of speech training (P>0.05). There were statistically significant differences in the VOT values of /ba/ among different durations of speech training (P<0.05). Age and duration of speech training, as well as gender, age and duration of speech training, had interaction effects on the VOT values of /ba/. Simple main effect analysis showed that in the group of 4.5-6-year-old children with more than one year of speech training, the VOT values of females were significantly longer than those of males (P<0.05). Independent sample t-test results showed that there were significant gender differences in the VOT values of aspirated stop consonants, with females having significantly longer VOT values than males (P<0.05), while there were no significant gender differences in the VOT values of unaspirated stop consonants (P>0.05). There were no statistically significant differences in the VOT values of aspirated and unaspirated stop consonants among other groups of children with hearing impairment (P>0.05).ConclusionOnly the VOT of /ba/ is affected by multiple factors, and the duration of speech training is the key factor affecting the VOT of /ba/ in children with hearing impairment. Long-term training can significantly optimize their speech production, and the effect is particularly significant in 4.5-6-year-old female children.

摘要:ObjectivesConstruct and validate an intelligent simplified assessment method of auditory cognitive function for community people.MethodsThe norms of time compression speech test, auditory digit span test and auditory Stroop test were established by 35 healthy college students. The lower limit of 95% confidence interval was used as the criterion of functional impairment (the 10th percentile limit was selected for sensitivity analysis). The Data of 466 community residents were collected, and the training set and verification set were divided by 2∶1. The test process was simplified based on Bayesian adaptive test, computer adaptive test and support vector machine, and its consistency and diagnostic efficiency were evaluated in the verification set. Another 88 subjects were followed up for 3 months to verify the stability.ResultsThe test time of the simplified version was 50%-75% less than that of the full version, and was highly correlated with the results of the full version (r=0.88-0.94). ROC analysis showed that the AUC was 0.85-0.89, and the sensitivity was ≥90%. The results of validation set showed that the generalization ability of the model is good (Δ auc<0.05). The follow up analysis showed that the consistency of repeated measurements was high (ICC=0.87).Conclusionsthe simplified auditory cognitive assessment tool based on intelligent algorithms (including Bayesian adaptive and SVM feature selection) constructed and verified in this study can significantly shorten the assessment time and improve the efficiency of grass-roots screening under the premise of strictly ensuring the reliability and diagnostic validity of the assessment. This tool overcomes the tedious drawbacks of traditional evaluation tools, and has good model generalization ability, retest stability and clinical transformation value. Integrating it into the mobile device or smart phone platform is very suitable for large-scale early screening of hearing and cognitive impairment in the middle-aged and elderly people in the community.

摘要:ObjectiveTo investigate the changes in unaided pure-tone thresholds, aided thresholds, and aided word recognition scores (WRS) in patients with age-related hearing loss (ARHL) after bilateral hearing aid fitting.MethodsThis retrospective study included 91 ARHL patients who underwent hearing aid fitting at the Hearing Center of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in our hospital between January 2020 and January 2025 and attended at least one follow-up visit at ≥3 months post-fitting. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used to test the normality of data distribution. Normally distributed data were expressed as mean ± standard deviation (x¯±s), while non-normally distributed data were expressed as median (Q1, Q3). Paired t-tests were used to compare pure-tone thresholds, and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test was used to analyze changes in WRS. A P-value <0.05 was considered statistically significant.ResultsAmong the 91 patients, 36 were male and 55 female, with a mean age of 71.47±10.67 years. The median duration of hearing loss was 7 years. The median follow-up time was 6.5 months. The aided pure-tone threshold was (46.75±10.30 dB HL), representing a mean improvement of (19.35±8.48 dB HL) compared with the unaided threshold at follow-up (66.09±11.40 dB HL). This difference was statistically significant (P< 0.01). Overall, the unaided threshold at follow-up (66.09±11.40 dB HL) showed a mean increase of (2.95±6.45 dB HL) compared with the baseline threshold (63.15±11.78 dB HL). This difference was also statistically significant (P<0.05). Specifically, compared with baseline, unaided thresholds decreased by more than 5 dB HL in 8 ears (4.4%), remained within ±5 dB HL in 124 ears (68.13%), and increased by more than 5 dB HL in 50 ears (27.47%). The WRS at baseline, unaided (follow-up), and aided were 80 (48, 88) %, 68 (48, 88) %, and 76 (56, 88) %, respectively. The difference in WRS between aided and unaided conditions was statistically significant(P<0.05). No statistically significant differences were observed between unaided and baseline WRS, nor between aided and baseline WRS(P>0.05).ConclusionBilateral hearing aid fitting significantly compensates for pure-tone hearing loss and improves speech discrimination ability in ARHL patients, playing a positive role in auditory compensation and restoration of communication function.

    • Multifactorial Analysis of the Disease Burden in Age-Related Hearing Loss

HUANG Fang, LIAO Hong-ming, HE Ben-chao
      Vol. 24, Issue 4, Pages: 388-394(2026) DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1672-4933.2026.04.012
摘要:ObjectiveThis study aims to systematically assess the trends in the disease burden of age-related hearing loss (ARHL) in China and globally from 1992 to 2021, analyzing key indicators including prevalence and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs). Additionally, by using the age-period-cohort (APC) model, the study explores the roles of age, period, and birth cohort in the changes in ARHL burden, revealing long-term trends and potential influencing factors, thus providing evidence-based recommendations for the development of hearing health intervention strategies.MethodsThis study is based on data from the 2021 Global Burden of Disease (GBD) database, which provides prevalence and DALYs data for ARHL in China and globally from 1992 to 2021. Joinpoint regression models were used to assess the temporal trends in the disease burden, and the average annual percentage change (AAPC) was used to quantify the magnitude of the trends. The APC model was further employed to analyze the independent effects of age, period, and birth cohort on the prevalence and DALYs of ARHL.ResultsThe study shows that from 1992 to 2021, the age-standardized prevalence of ARHL in China increased from 20000 per 100000 to 22000 per 100000 and the DALYs rate rose from 576.35 per 100000 to 630.67 per 100000. In the same period, the global prevalence increased from 17000 per 100000 to 18000 per 100000 and the DALYs rate increased from 500.28 per 100000 to 525.87 per 100000. The AAPC for prevalence and DALYs in China was 0.2% and 0.3%, respectively, while the global AAPC for both was 0.2%, indicating a continuous increase in the ARHL burden both globally and in China. In terms of gender distribution, the number of cases and prevalence of ARHL in Chinese men were consistently higher than in women. The age effect shows that the burden of ARHL rises with age, peaking in the 65-69 age group before slightly declining. Cohort analysis suggests a slight decline in ARHL risk in more recent birth cohorts, possibly related to improved health awareness and hearing protection measures.ConclusionFrom 1992 to 2021, the overall ARHL burden in China and globally has increased, with significant age and gender differences. The elderly, particularly middle-aged and older men, are the key groups to focus on. Targeted hearing health management should be strengthened, with an emphasis on early screening, early intervention, and raising public awareness of hearing protection.

摘要:ObjectiveTo analyze the results of primary and secondary screening for developmental delay among children aged 0-6 years in Xicheng District, Beijing, to clarify the prevalence of childhood developmental delay in this jurisdiction and explore its related risk factors, so as to provide evidence for optimizing the childhood developmental monitoring system, implementing early intervention and reducing the incidence of childhood developmental delay.MethodsA total of 32,256 children aged 0-6 years who received physical examinations at 15 primary health care service centers in Xicheng District from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2023 were enrolled. Three screening tools including the Denver Developmental Screening Test (DDST), developmental warning signs, and motor developmental screening for infants aged 0-1 year were jointly adopted for primary screening. Children with positive primary screening results were referred to Xicheng Maternal and Child Health Hospital under the secondary health care service network for diagnostic secondary screening and assessment using the Gesell Developmental Schedules.ResultsThere were 938 children who were positive in the primary screening of children's development, and the positive rate in the primary screening was 2.91%. There were 687 children in the re-screening, 531 children were positive in the re-screening, and the positive rate in the re-screening was 77.29%.The incidence rate of global delay in boys was 45.61% higher than that in girls (34.16%). The age of children with 2 retardation and 1 retardation was higher than that of children without delay. The proportion of children with 2 retardation in premature children (63.64%) was higher than that without premature factors (40.70%)(P<0.05), statistically significant.ConclusionThe well-established two-level screening network enables the early detection, timely referral and prompt intervention of childhood developmental delay, which is of great clinical value for rehabilitation diagnosis and treatment. Childhood developmental delay is affected by multiple interacting factors. Male gender, older age and preterm birth serve as key risk factors. Targeted screening and intervention strategies should be formulated for high-risk populations to further improve the regional maternal and child health service system.

摘要:Presbyphonia is a voice aging phenomenon resulting from the functional decline of various physiological systems. It accounts for up to 17.78% of voice disorders in the elderly population, significantly affecting their social participation, communication efficiency, and mental health. The clinical characteristics of presbyphonia are multidimensional.Physiologically, it manifests as glottal insufficiency due to vocal fold atrophy and bowing. Acoustically, it is characterized by a reduced gender difference in fundamental frequency (F0), increased jitter and normalized noise energy (NNE),and a decreased harmonics-to-noise ratio (HNR).Aerodynamically, it presents with reduced maximum phonation time (MPT),increased mean flow rate (MFR),and decreased respiratory function. Subjectively, perceptual features include roughness and breathiness, and patient self-assessments often reflect a reduced quality of life.Currently, clinical assessments largely reliy on a single dimension, neglecting the multidimensional nature of presbyphonia, which may lead to misdiagnosis and difficulty in guiding effective clinical intervention. Existing interventions mainly include traditional voice therapy, recreational interventions, and surgical treatment. However, due to poor compliance and low awareness of voice care among the elderly, coupled with the accelerating aging of society and the increasing demands of the new generation of older adults for better voice and quality of life, current treatment options are insufficient to meet the growing needs. There is an urgent need to develop efficient assessment and treatment systems. Future efforts should focus on enhancing public awareness of presbyphonia care, investigating the patterns of vocal degeneration, integrating multidimensional features to establish a comprehensive assessment model for grading the severity of voice aging, and developing a digitalized three-tier prevention system to improve compliance and optimize geriatric voice health management.

摘要:ObjectiveThe application of screening method based on ICF framework theory to early screening of children's speech and cognitive level can find problems in language development from different dimensions, and put forward suggestions for promoting children's language development.MethodThe ICF Internet+ children's speech and cognitive development screening instrument was used to screen the speech and cognitive development of eligible children aged 2.5~6 years old. The screening results were stratified by gender and age.ResultThe proportion of normal ICF in the 155 tested children accounted for 18.07%. The incidence of speech abnormality in boys was higher than that in girls(61.84%vs.43.04%,χ2=5.490).The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). There was a correlation between the internal indicators reflecting the articulation function and cognitive function(χ2=5.003、311.254,P<0.05).ConclusionBased on the ICF framework, the screening of children's speech and mental development enables a comprehensive assessment of multiple functional domains and the identification of potential developmental risks. Boys require more attention in language development, and it is recommended to establish language ability assessment norms by gender. Children's language ability is closely associated with functions such as cognition and articulation, highlighting the importance of coordinated training across different functional areas during intervention. Promoting a comprehensive screening model under the ICF framework facilitates early identification and precise intervention in children's speech and language development.

摘要:ObjectiveTo compare the rehabilitation outcomes of auditory performance, speech intelligibility, and quality of life between bilateral cochlear implantation and bimodal intervention in older prelingually deaf patients, and to analyze differences in intervention effects across different age groups.Methods106 older prelingually deaf patients treated at our institution were retrospectively enrolled and divided according to the intervention strategy into Group A (bilateral cochlear implantation, n=56) and group B (bimodal intervention, n=50). All the patients completed the Categories of Auditory Performance (CAP) and Speech Intelligibility Rating (SIR) assessments preoperatively and at 1, 3, 6, and 12 months postoperatively. Quality of life was evaluated at 1 year after surgery. The outcomes were compared between the two groups. Additionally, the patients were stratified by age into a school-age group (7-13 years) and an adolescent plus adult group (≥14 years) for subgroup analysis of intervention effects.ResultsGroup B showed significantly higher CAP and SIR scores than Group A at 1 and 3 months postoperatively (all P<0.05). However, no significant differences were observed between the two groups in CAP and SIR scores at 6 and 12 months postoperatively, nor in quality-of-life scores at 1 year (all P>0.05). Age-stratified analysis revealed that in the school-age group, bimodal intervention was associated with more pronounced improvements in auditory and speech abilities during the early postoperative period (1 and 3 months; all P<0.05) and better outcomes in selected quality-of-life domains at 1 year. In contrast, among adolescent and adult patients, no significant differences were observed between the two intervention strategies in terms of auditory performance, speech intelligibility, or quality of life (all P>0.05).ConclusionBimodal intervention demonstrates favorable clinical efficacy in older prelingually deaf patients, with more pronounced benefits observed in school-age individuals. Age may influence the pattern of benefit from auditory rehabilitation, and should be carefully considered when formulating individualized rehabilitation strategies.

摘要:ObjectiveTo understand the quality of life and its influencing factors among children with cochlear implants in Shanghai.MethodsA survey was conducted among parents of 323 hearing-impaired children under 18 years old who underwent cochlear implant (CI) between 2005 and 2023, using a general condition questionnaire and the Nijmegen Cochlear Implant Questionnaire (NCIQ) pediatric version.Results(1) The quality of life of children with CI was significantly improved (total scale 72.69±13.36), but they faced significant challenges in the dimensions of social communication and self-confidence. (2) The total scale and dimension scores of children under different rehabilitation education settings were statistically significant (P=0.000<0.01), and the quality of life of children attending regular schools after rehabilitation was significantly higher than that of children in the rehabilitation stage and those attending special schools. (3) The implantation scheme was statistically significant in the total scale (P=0.001<0.01) and dimension scores (P<0.05), with children receiving SiBCI (simultaneous bilateral cochlear implant) having the highest quality of life scores.ConclusionIn the future, attention should be paid to family-centered personalized support, building an ecological support system that integrates medical care, rehabilitation, and education, creating an inclusive learning environment, and promoting the social integration of children with CI.

摘要:ObjectiveTo investigate the efficacy of 100 verb task training on naming function in patients with post-stroke motor aphasia.Methods112 patients with post-stroke motor aphasia hospitalized in Xiangya Boai Rehabilitation Hospital from October 2023 to October 2024 were selected and divided into a control group and an experimental group by the random number table method, with 56 cases in each group. The control group was given routine speech training, including listening comprehension training, oral expression training, reading training and writing training, and the experimental group was given 100 verb task training, choosing 100 verbs commonly used in daily life as training target words. Before the treatment, each verb was demonstrated through action videos, named, and applied for patients to review before and after treatment; one-on-one verbal task training was conducted during treatment. Before treatment and at 4 weeks post-treatment, the two groups were assessed for naming function using the Aphasia Battery for Chinese (ABC). The Boston Diagnostic Aphasia Severity Evaluation (BDAE) was used to evaluate aphasia severity classification. The Boston Naming Test was used to evaluate spontaneous naming function. The differences between the groups and within the groups before and after treatment were compared.ResultsAfter 4 weeks of treatment, the ABC fluency, repetition, naming, reading, naming efficiency, and Boston Naming Test of the two groups were better than before treatment, with statistical significance (P<0.05), and there was no statistical significance in the BDAE classification between the two groups before and after treatment (P>0.05). The ABC, naming efficiency, and Boston Naming Test results of the experimental group were better than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion100 verb task training can effectively improve naming function, enhance daily naming abilities, and boost verbal communication proficiency in post-stroke motor aphasia patients.

摘要:Sensorineural hearing loss refers to a condition caused by damage to the cochlea, auditory nerve, or neural pathways above the cochlear nucleus, resulting in impaired auditory function, also known as sensorineural hearing loss.In China's current aviation medical examination standards for flight personnel, there is no specific provision dedicated to granting special medical certification for sensorineural hearing loss. However, in actual clinical aviation medical evaluations, flight crew members with hearing impairment often present cases where their hearing status exceeds the limits defined by individual assessment criteria. In the past, evaluations were typically conducted through comprehensive assessments based on factors such as the type of aircraft operated, flight duties assigned, operational requirements of the unit, and the individual's desire to continue flying, leading to special medical certification for some pilots with sensorineural hearing loss. Nevertheless, this approach lacked standardized quantitative measures and uniform criteria for evaluating hearing test results, making the evaluation process difficult to standardize and justify objectively. In recent years, with significant advancements in the performance of various military aircraft, continuous expansion of the pilot workforce, and rapid progress in aviation medical support technologies, it is expected that cases involving special medical certification for sensorineural hearing loss will gradually increase. To address this, the Aerospace Medicine Professional Committee of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, drawing upon research outcomes from national military standards projects and related studies, has convened experts in the field to have jointly developed the "Guidelines for Special Medical Certification of Sensorineural Hearing Loss in Flight Personnel," aiming to provide scientific, standardized, and unified technical references for aviation medical evaluations.

摘要:With the acceleration of population aging, the prevalence of age-related hearing loss is increasing, and a proportion of elderly patients progress to severe-to-profound hearing impairment, becoming potential candidates for cochlear implantation. Compared with chilren and younger adults, elderly patients present unique characteristics in disease etiology, physiological reserve, comorbidities, duration of auditory deprivation, and postoperative rehabilitation adherence, which pose additional challenges for preoperative decision-making and perioperative management. This review systematically summarizes key clinical issues in cochlear implantation for elderly patients with hearing loss, including the causes and consequences of hearing loss, implantation motivation and expectation management, economic burden, vestibular function assessment, implantation strategies for different types of hearing loss, anesthesia selection, and flap management at the implant site. This review emphasizes that preoperative assessment in elderly patients should not be based on age alone, but should also consider the duration of deafness, especially the duration of severe-to-profound hearing loss, and its influence on postoperative speech recognition and auditory adaptation. With the expansion of cochlear implantation indications, the indications, postoperative binaural adaptation, and rehabilitation adherence of patients with single-sided deafness and asymmetric hearing loss also warrant attention. For patients with bilateral severe-to-profound sensorineural hearing loss, potential listening fatigue after unilateral implantation and the potential advantages of bilateral implantation in sound localization, speech recognition in noise, and reduction of listening effort should be fully evaluated. Overall, cochlear implantation in elderly patients should be based on individualized assessment, with comprehensive consideration of auditory benefits, surgical risks, vestibular function, economic factors, and rehabilitation support to formulate an appropriate implantation strategy. Strengthening preoperative counseling, optimizing expectation management, and standardizing perioperative care may improve patient adherence and long-term benefit. This review aims to provide a reference for clinical decision-making and comprehensive management of cochlear implantation in elderly patients.
