Differences in Quality of Life Among Children with Cochlear Implants and Influencing Factors
To evaluate the quality of life level as well as the variability in children after cochlear implant surgery. To analyze the factors influencing the quality of life of children after cochlear implant surgery.
Methods
2
The Family quality of life table of the implanted children (Children Using Hearing Implants Quality of Life
CuHIQoL) was used to evaluate the postoperative quality of life of 50 children with cochlear implants in Beijing. The t-test and variance analysis were used to study the quality of children's quality of life
different genders
cochlear implantation
cochlear use time (under 3 years
3~6 years and more than 6 years) and different ages (0-3 years old
3-6 years and 6 years old). Stestepwise regression analysis and stepwise stepwise method were used to explore the effects of ages
lateral sides
ages of confirmed hearing impairment
durations of cochlear use
forms of postoperative rehabilitation course
contents of postoperative rehabilitation course and frequency on their quality of life.
Results
2
All the samples of the different age groups showed significant values for quality of life (
P
<
0.05)
while none of the other samples showed significance (
P
>
0.05). The stepwise regression analysis model was: quality of life =2.738-0.108 * age + 0.159 * reh
abilitation frequency. Ages had a significant negative effect on QoL
and rehabilitation frequency had a significant positive effect on QoL.
Conclusion
2
Pay attention to the quality of life of cochlear implant children of different ages after surgery
and ensure the frequency of rehabilitation training.
