An Analysis on the Basic Situation and Rehabilitation Effect of Three Types of Suspected Disabled Children in Beijing
To understand the basic situation of children with suspected speech disabilities
intellectual disabilities
and mental disabilities in Beijing
and make a preliminary analysis of their rehabilitation effects.
Methods
2
The rehabilitation assessment data of 1005 suspected disabled children who applied for rehabilitation services were analyzed.
Results
2
Basic information of three types of suspected disabled children: the proportion of boys was higher
accounting for 71.54%. The age range was 0.5-12.5 years old
aged 2-4 was the majority
accounting for 54.93%. In terms of disability types
children with suspected speech disabilities were the largest
accounting for 71.44%. The number of suspected disabled children applying for rehabilitation services had been increasing year by year from 2020 to 2023. 226 suspected disabled children had applied for rehabilitation services for at least two consecutive years. The age of the first rehabilitation assessment of children with suspected speech disabilities was significantly younger than that of children with suspected intellectual and mental disabilities (
P
<
0.01). The age of the first rehabilitation assessment of children with suspected intellectual disabilities was significantly younger than that of children with suspected mental disabilities (
P
<
0.01). Rehabilitation effect: The rehabilitation assessment results of 226 suspected disabled children for two consecutive years were
compared
the gap between the language age and actual age of children with suspected speech disabilities narrowed (
P
<
0.01)
the intelligence quotient of children with suspected intellectual disabilities increased (
P
<
0.05)
and the CARS score of children with suspected mental disabilities decreased (
P
<
0.01);A correlation analysis showed that there was a significant negative correlation between the age of first rehabilitation assessment and the rehabilitation effect of children with suspected speech disabilities (
P
<
0.01)
but there was no significant correlation between the age of the first rehabilitation assessment and the rehabilitation effect of the children with suspected intellectual disabilities and mental disabilities (
P
>
0.05).
Conclusion
2
Early
sustained
and effective rehabilitation can help suspected disabled children recover their functions and reduce the degree of disability.
