Study on the Correlation Between Chronic Suppurative Otitis Media and Different Types of Obstructive Nasal Diseases
This article analyzes the correlation between chronic suppurative otitis media (CSOM) and different types of obstructive nasal diseases
and provides basis for study on the pathogenesis and treatment of CSOM.
Methods
2
The CSOM cases admitted to our hospital were analyzed retrospectively
and the types of nasal diseases and their effects on the incidence of single and double ears
tinnitus and hearing loss were summarized and analyzed in combination with their history
incidence
accompanying symptoms and imaging examinations.
Results
2
A total of 168 patients with CSOM were collected
including 88 males and 80 females
with an average age of 39.7±14.7 years. 120 patients (71.43%) were complicated with obstructive nasal lesions
including 76 cases of inferior turbinate hypertrophy
53 cases of sinusitis
and 22 cases of nasal septum deviation; There were 94 patients with other head and neck diseases as the control group
with an average age of 48.9±18.3years
and 45 patients with nasal lesions
accounting for 47.87%. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant. There was no significant correlation between nasal diseases and unilateral and binaural sides
tinnitus and hearing loss.
Conclusion
2
Obstructive nasal disease can significantly promote the onset of CSOM
among which inferior turbinate hypertrophy has a large nasal resistance value
which contributes greatly to the onset of CSOM. While treating this kind of CSOM
we should also prevent nose diseases. Obstructive nose diseases did not significantly promote the side of the disease
