Motor language refers to the language tasks involving the use of words related to the concept of action. In motor language processing
the frontal cortex will project the stored motion-related information to the basal ganglia
which will process the information and integrate with the conceptual and semantic information stored in the temporal lobe
and then project it back to the frontal cortex to activate the internal action meaning of verbs. The pathological basis of Parkinson’s Disease(PD) is the damage of basal ganglia
and the patients may have varying degrees of impairment in motor language processing even when they are at the early stage of this disease and with relatively intact cognitive function. This paper reviews and summarizes the research on the neural basic mechanism related to PD motor language processing disorders
to provide new ideas and enlightenment for the existing clinical speech rehabilitation of PD.
